Additionally, Medicare has been issuing new Medicare Beneficiary Identifiers (MBIs) to a significant number of beneficiaries.

- Inquire About Insurance Changes:
- Ask your patients if they have a new insurance plan for the upcoming year.
- Specifically, inquire about any changes to their Medicare coverage, including new MBIs.
- Obtain Updated Insurance Information:
- Request copies of your patients’ updated insurance cards to verify coverage details, including effective dates, group numbers, and identification numbers.
